Celebrating Innovation and Collaboration at the Value4Pack Final Event
On 2 October 2025, the Monasterium PoortAckere in Ghent hosted an inspiring day focused on international collaboration and innovation in packaging. Pack4Food welcomed 77 participants from across the entire value chain for the final event of the European Value4Pack project.
During the Value4Pack event, eight interregional business cases were presented, demonstrating how cross-border collaboration can drive innovative and sustainable packaging solutions. Over the course of the project, 50 innovation opportunities were identified, leading to 16 business cases involving 26 companies across Europe. These partnerships are now actively collaborating on material testing, distribution, and joint production initiatives, shaping the future of sustainable food packaging.
The highlight of the day was a dynamic matchmaking session, resulting in 128 one-on-one meetings between companies, research centres, and cluster organizations. These connections are set to fuel ongoing interregional cooperation, new investment opportunities, and further innovation within the European packaging ecosystem.
The Value4Pack project has successfully achieved its mission to accelerate innovation and strengthen cross-border collaboration, leaving a lasting impact on sustainable packaging across Europe.
